What PubDaily collects, why, who else receives it, and how to delete it. Last updated: 25 September 2026.
Who we are
PubDaily ("we") provides continuing education for healthcare professionals at pubdaily.app. Contact for any privacy question or request: support@pubdaily.app.
What we collect
Account: your email address and name, used to create your sign-in account.
Profile: your role, specialty, learning goal, where you usually read medical news, your country and whether you want the weekly digest.
Learning activity: your answers to questions and cases, scores, time taken, and papers you save.
Hospital membership: if you join with a hospital or organisation code or invite, which workspace you belong to.
Email only: if you leave your email on the website or during sign-up without finishing, that email with your role and specialty.
Visit and advertising data: a random visitor identifier stored in your browser, the ad or link you arrived from (campaign tags and Meta click identifier), the page you landed on, your referrer, and your country, derived from your IP address (the IP address itself is not stored by us).
Usage data: pages viewed and actions taken in the app, device and browser information, and error reports.
We do not ask for or collect patient data. Please do not enter patient-identifiable information anywhere in PubDaily.
Why we use it
To provide your account, personalise content to your specialty and save your progress.
To send you the emails you ask for (sign-in codes, cases you request, the digest if you opt in).
To give a hospital or organisation that invited you reports on its members’ learning progress (only for members of that workspace).
To understand how PubDaily is used and fix problems.
To measure our advertising: when you sign up or leave your email, we tell Meta that a sign-up happened so we can see which ads work.
Who else receives it
We do not sell your personal data. We use these service providers, which process data on our behalf:
Clerk: sign-in and account (email, name).
Supabase (servers in the United States): our database for profiles, answers, memberships and sign-ups.
Netlify: website hosting and server functions.
PostHog (United States): product analytics and session replay on the website and in the app (a recording of pages viewed, clicks and scrolling; text typed into fields is masked and not recorded).
Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity: usage analytics in the app, including session replay in Clarity.
Meta (Facebook/Instagram): the Meta Pixel in your browser and Meta’s Conversions API from our server. Meta receives the event (e.g. a sign-up), browser identifiers and cookies, your IP address and browser, and a hashed (scrambled) copy of your email, name and country.
Loops and Resend: sending emails.
OpenAI: generating summaries for hospital dashboards from members’ learning results, for that hospital’s administrators.
Google Fonts: loading the website’s fonts, which shares your IP address with Google.
Your data may be processed in the United States and other countries where these providers operate.
Cookies and browser storage
We and the providers above use cookies and browser storage to keep you signed in, remember your visitor identifier and ad tags, remember preferences such as the theme, and for analytics and advertising (Meta, Google Analytics, Microsoft Clarity, PostHog). You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; parts of the app may then not work.
How long we keep it
We keep your account data until you delete your account. Emails left without an account are kept until you ask us to delete them. Data held by the providers above is kept under their own retention rules.
Your rights
You can ask us to access, correct, export or delete your personal data, and to stop using it for analytics or advertising. Depending on where you live (for example in the European Union, the United Kingdom or California), you may have further rights under local law, including the right to complain to your data protection authority.
To delete your account and data, see Delete your data. For any other request, email support@pubdaily.app from the address linked to your account.
Eligibility
PubDaily is intended for healthcare professionals and students, and not for anyone under 18.
Changes
We will update this page when our practices change and change the date at the top. Significant changes will be announced in the app or by email.
