Myopia control in children

Atropine drops, defocus lenses and orthokeratology to slow myopia.

Key point

In myopic children, atropine efficacy increased nonlinearly with concentration and may plateau, while higher doses were associated with decreased accommodation and photophobia.

How these numbers are counted

PubMed query, searched in titles and abstracts by publication date:

myopia[tiab] AND (atropine[tiab] OR "myopia control"[tiab] OR orthokeratology[tiab] OR defocus[tiab])

Trials: ClinicalTrials.gov studies first submitted in each 12-month window that match the same terms. A query can miss synonyms or catch unrelated papers, so treat counts as approximate.
